Checking motor noise by ear is subjective — our motor noise testing machine captures sound and vibration automatically, analyses the acoustic and vibration signatures, and compares them with set limits to give an objective, repeatable pass/fail result for every unit. Test data is logged for each part for traceability.
The same NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) testing approach works for electric motors, gears and gearboxes, transmissions and engine assemblies, and each machine is customised to your application — from semi-automatic to fully automated. For EV traction motors, noise and vibration analysis can also be combined with electrical tests in our motor EOL testing machines.
